This Privacy Policy explains how Podpin (the "App") processes information when you use the iOS and macOS app, widgets, and related features provided by Antonio J. Martinez ("we," "us," or "our").

By using Podpin, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

Information Processed in the App

Podpin may process information that you create, import, or generate while using the App, including:

• podcast subscriptions, followed shows, saved episodes, and playback queue
• listening progress, playback preferences, and app settings
• downloaded episode files, transcript files, cached artwork, and related metadata
• highlights, bookmarks, notes, and AI-generated summaries, insights, chapters, and extracted references
• premium-access status, cloud-sync preference, and notification preferences

Podpin does not require you to create a standalone Podpin account.

Audio, Transcripts, and AI Features

Podpin can generate transcripts from podcast audio. Based on device support and your configuration, transcription and summarization may use:

• Apple's on-device speech and Foundation Models technologies on supported devices
• locally-run models made available in the App
• an optional cloud AI backend if you explicitly select a cloud AI mode and it is configured in the App

When Cloud AI is enabled, transcript content or related prompt data may be sent to your configured AIProxy / OpenAI-compatible service to generate summaries or related AI output. If you keep AI set to Local AI, supported AI features run on-device or through local fallbacks.

iCloud and Cloud Sync

Podpin supports optional iCloud / CloudKit sync. When cloud sync is enabled, eligible app data may be stored in your private CloudKit database associated with your Apple account so your library, progress, highlights, and related content can sync across your devices.
